Get to know Annie
If you are visiting this site, it’s safe to say that you may have already explored my About section. While this includes an overview of my career and professional life, including my business Chameleon Communications (we’re available to consult on your communications and public relations needs!), you may be interested in knowing more about me as a lifestyle writer.
While I write for a living, most of my friends and family know me as their go-to for trip recommendations and travel advice. This is in-part due to my former life working for the world’s largest airline and traveling the globe as a non-rev passenger. But the other part is that I am, and have always been, a travel enthusiast. I love exploring new destinations and finding off-the-beaten-path restaurants, events, and trails. You don’t have to be going to Europe to have an incredible trip!
To best understand my recommendations, you should know that I typically enjoy active vacations. This means, I want to to see the sights, I want to hike trials, I want read the plaque cards at a monument, and I definitely pull over for the Historic Markers. This may not be the way you like to travel and, hey, to each their own! But know that my recommendations come from doing the legwork (literally) to explore new locations and source interesting lure and local facts.
The other thing you should know about me is that, like my dog Poppy, I am very food motivated. I think any adventure is best accompanied by some tasty treats as a reward for your hard work and exploration. I like to eat local and avoid chains. I do not enjoy mayonnaise and would prefer if Texans did not put so much mustard on a burger… but that’s just me and my cross to bear.
You can expect Fork Worth will provide a balance of food and destination recommendations based on my own experience. If I didn’t like a place, I didn’t like it. I’m not looking to hurt any business, but I can guarantee an authentic review and evaluation.
Thanks for visiting!
